OPEN CALL FOR CURATORIAL PROJECTS

In 2019, Kyiv Art Week will provide funding for three curatorial projects.

The fourth Kyiv Art Fair will be held on May 24-26, 2019. Founded in 2016, come springtime the festival brings together cultural institutions from all over the world. Kyiv Art Week’s primary goal is development of artistic infrastructure of the Eastern European region. The festival is a driver of diverse interactions in the field of culture as well as a platform for showcasing various trends in global contemporary art. The main theme of Kyiv Art Week - 2019 is This Is Not A Competition.

The ideas of artistic groups, or personal initiatives, will have the opportunity to be implemented within the framework of the festival in 2019. We have created the conditions for the exchange of ideas and views, thus three projects will receive funding. The submitted applications will be considered by an international jury. Selected projects will receive funds for implementation of up to UAH 300,000.

 

Terms of Participation:

  1. The project’s topic should relate to the festival theme: This Is Not A Competition;
  2. The project may either be authored by an individual or groups;
  3. The project should include a finalized concept. The text should reveal the relevance and issues of the exhibition project and contain the names of all participants;
  4. The application must include photos and / or high-quality sketches of all the proposed works;
  5. The project should include a detailed budget and a technical rider;
  6. Participants must choose the location for the project themselves and indicate the chosen location in the application.

 The submission deadline is February 14, 2019. Projects submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

 The selection results will be announced on February 20, 2019.
