Artbeat is an innovative gallery of Georgian art that aims to popularize works of meticulously selected Georgian artists in the international community through the online platform (www.projectartbeat.com) and international art fairs. In collaboration with artists and curators Artbeat is planning various art projects that will contribute to the development of Georgian contemporary art.
Since its opening the gallery has arranged projects by such foreign masters as Brian Griffin, Oscar Murillo, Jesse Darling and Takeshi Shiomitsu. These projects were borne through collaboration with the Georgian National Gallery in Tbilisi and the Art in General institution in New York. ArtBeat participated in 10 international art fairs and has received press reviews from such prominent international media as Artnet.com and Art Newspaper.
Artbeat is displaying works by five Georgian artists: Maka Batiashvili, Irakli Bugiani, Levan Mindiashvili, Maya Sumbadze and Lado Pochkhua, belonging to different artistic directions. Painting, objects and installations represent Georgian contemporary art in its entirety. The artists raise issues of the general post-Soviet history and show the creative experience of our time.
