From 23 to 26 May, guests of Kyiv Art Week will have the opportunity to visit the experimental mobile space on the territory of the Toronto-Kyiv Complex — the Community Culture Bus.

Community Culture Bus is a multifunctional creative mobile space created through converting a regular bus into a cultural hub. The bus will travel from one locality to another, popularizing contemporary art and culture, supporting local cultural initiatives in small towns and villages.

This project partially reproduces the tradition of avant-garde museology and the practice of traveling exhibitions, which were started by, among others, Ukrainian artists in the early 19th century. The organizers hope that Community Culture Bus will become a platform for collaboration between artists and communities, a space for conducting various educational programs and presentations in the regions.
The first public presentation of the project will take place at Kyiv Art Week. During all days of the fair, a number of events will be held in the Community Culture Bus, including master classes, lectures, presentations, film screening and electronic musicians performances.
As part of the event, the route of the bus from June to October 2019 will be presented, and festival visitors will be able to take part in the project by filling Partner’s form on the location.
